Yeah, it's a little long, but it's worth the 20 minutes.
This is only implicit in Mr. Schwartz's lecture, but he says more eloquently what I've been trying to say about morality and religion lately. Religion, and The Bible more specifically in my arguments, did not give us modern morality. What the Bible did give us is a series of rules and and incentives in an attempt to provoke moral behavior.
Mr. Schwartz explains why rules and incentives don't work, and often confuse the issue and subvert the need to actually think.
