Simple Pleasures

You might think I'm crazy, and you might be right, but I love the feel of a fresh, new pair of chonies.

This week has been.... Well, other than that great audition this has been a kind of lame week. I never have bad days, let alone bad weeks, but this one was mostly kind of lame.

I have been in bed for most of the last three days hacking up all kinds of gross crap out of my lungs and shaking violently with the worst fever I've had since the chicken pox two years ago.

This time was not squandered though. I enjoyed catching up on a few of my favorite TV shows and playing hours of video games. Spent some good quality time with me.

But by and large I've been mopey and bored, stuck in bed, feeling gross.

Today I am on the upswing, so I'm taking my first shower since Wednesday morning. I avoided taking one in the interim because standing and walking were difficult and painful with all the dizziness and aching joints.

For Christmas, my stepmom always gets me and my siblings new underwear. Usually I tear them open the next day and start wearing them as soon as I can. Who doesn't love the feel of fresh, new underwear?

Well, this year I saved them. Christmas was already so nice this year, with the engagement and all the new babies being born and also future babies being announced. I thought it would be nice to have that little simple pleasure tucked away to cheer me up during a gloomy spot.

Call me crazy, but it was worth the wait.
