I spent a solid four months working my ass off 5 to 6 days a week in the gym in preparation for and maintenance of my appearance onstage in a g-string.
We closed on July 5th. For most of the month of July, and the first week of this month I have been slacking into maintenance mode. I've been phoning in my gym time, half-assing workouts, calling it quits early, skipping my morning walks, and those shorter workouts tend to be only two days a week, maybe three.
No more. Tonight I rocked my ass in the gym. I pushed it only a little bit (about half the workout I was doing in June) and I am exhausted and hurting. No more.
I begin anew starting today. Tomorrow I will start my day with a walk immediately on waking.
I forgot how much better I feel all the time when I push myself harder. It's amazing how fast you can forget something like that.
