...what!? What!? WHAT!?! Can somebody explain what the hell that is supposed to mean? I saw this bumper sticker in traffic yesterday, and it's been ringing in my head since then. I don't even know where to begin picking that apart.

The DNC
Hillary Clinton's supporters are just plain silly.
What the %$#& is wrong with these people? They've been pissing and moaning for weeks. Her delegates whine about "needing catharsis" and blah blah blah. You know what, it happens. Somebody's candidate has to lose, in order for another to win. Hillary was not liked by a large enough section of our population to make it all the way, so that loser is yours, people. That sucks, but oh well, grow up, let it go, move on. It ain't over yet, we still have to keep McCain from winning!
Admittedly, I have only been deeply invested in politics for the last three elections preceding this one, but I have never heard of anything remotely like this. In every election the field gets narrowed down from several candidates, to just two, and no previous losing campaign ever made such a stink as Hillary's supporters have this time around.
And for the record, I never for one second wanted to end up with Barack Obama, defense of him is not where my irritation is coming from. My candidate lost too... or more accurately, my candidate was never really given a fair shake. I have had a heterosexual man-crush on Dennis Kucinich since the 2004 election and watched him completely shut out of nearly all media coverage through TWO consecutive elections. Kucinich is so radically different from mainstream politics, and his stances are so controversially in favor of YOU and ME and not for corporate America, that they crushed him by never even giving him a chance to be heard. I meet young democrats all the time who respond to me mentioning his name with "who?"
After him, my second choice was John Edwards, who was also knocked out of the running. It is most definitely frustrating to me to see these things happen, but do I hang onto it? Do I let it sway my vote away from Obama, the only man left in this race who is even close to the man that Kucinich is? No way. I bring this up because some of these crazy Clintonites actually say they will vote for McCain instead. WHAT!? I agree that Clinton and Obama do differ on many points, but at least their differences still fall along a similar section of the political spectrum. These so-called "democrats" are so stung by Clinton's loss that they are going to vote for a third term of neo-con bvllshit, and for what? Out of spite for Obama? Or because they really believe McCain is SO different from Bush?
If you're one of those sad, silly democrats who has fooled themselves into believing this whole "maverick" rhetoric about McCain, I challenge you to find me a list of substantial differences between Bush and McCain. I tell you now, you won't find many, at least not on any of the issues that seem to really rile up democrat ire.
