Oh my god. I am finishing up another kids show for that same certain theatre that I shall not name. Just know that the show has nothing to do with

the king JAMES bible AND THE story of a certain GIANT eating a PEACH.

Sorry if that is unclear, but read BETWEEN the LINES. I don't want a google of the title yielding my ranting about it.

Anyway, this show, like the last one for this company, has set a new record for me for the size of a show. In sound you letter your cues A thru Z because lights use numbers and it's easier for keeping it straight. If you get to Z and still have more to go then you start into AA, BB, etc and then into triple letters if needed. This show reaches CCCC. That's right quadruple C. That is a total of 70 cues. The script is 46 pages. If that seems excessive to you, you would be right.

I have decided that I am done at this theatre after this show. The money was good when the workload was reasonable, but these last two shows have been overloaded with sound, and the number of changes during tech week just served to continue to overinflate them. This is the third day in a row that I have had to spend all day making changes to this crap.

Soon I shall shrug off their yoke of audio oppression... and put on the yoke of poverty again.

Oh well.
