I have to say that the entire group was in rare form tonight on the Vball court. we found a great set of balanced teams that seemed to make all of us work that much harder to challenge each other. Fun was had by all.
I watched an amazing movie last night called SLAM. If you haven't seen it, I would recomend tryng to track it down. It might be hard. It's one of many small independant films that managed to slip through the cracks mostly unnoticed. But I noticed. I rescued my particular copy from being thrown away when I worked in that festering hell hole that some people call Blockbuster. Anyway, it's a great story about an amazing freestyle rapper. His lyrics will blow your mind. In fact just look him up on Kazaa. His name is Saul Williams, and every time I hear his work it inspires me to sit down and write my own tripped out poetry. WHen ever I've been listening to him you can see his influence in my writing, it's kinda cool.
Here's what I wrote last night after the film.
All I am asking for is now.
That's a lie.
All I am asking for is an eternity of your tomorrows and yesterday albums of thoughts and dreams.
All I am asking for is an open door to the neverending stream of your light and color.
All I am asking for is a chance to always ask for more.
All I am asking for is all you are asking for.
So ask.
