First off, I just thought I'd share something strange I saw this morning. Lately I've been getting up around 9:30 and watching The Daily Show at 10 am on Comedy Central.

At 9:45-ish I turned on Comedy to see the tail end of this movie. Note that it is Part 7 and also note that it stars a young Claire Forlani, Ron Perlman, and a still old Christopher Lee. Holy shit. These guys must have been desperate for money.

Yesterday a good friend of mine looked at my last post and said something that surprised me. When he looked at the sketch of The Healer he asked "What is that supposed to be about? What does it mean?" Because I enjoyed the statue so much his question caught me off guard and I had no real answer for him.

I've thougth about it, and here is my answer.

I wish I could remember the original source of this quote, but I learned it from Douglas Adams in his book, Salmon of Doubt. Mr Adams' favorite author, when asked about the meaning of something he wrote, replied:

"Beauty doesn't have to be about anything. What is a vase about? What is a sunset about?"

This is the way I enjoyed this statue. It was a strange juxtapostion that I just enjoyed looking at.
